Abstract

The article discusses research which examined the association of growth in early life with physical performance in older people. The participants in the Hertfordshire Cohort Study in England were examined and they underwent several tests, including quadriceps strength and timed up and go test (TUG). Findings identified a link between early growth and muscle strength in men and women and balance in men.
