The need for employee training in hotels in Thailand.

The growth of business and industry along with a rapid increase of tourism has resulted in the rapid expansion of hotels in Thailand. The hotel industry has become highly competitive with the quality of service provided having an effect on the profitability and success of individual hotels. Employees themselves have been considered to be the most important factor in the service industry. This article presents the findings of two studies involving the training needs of hotel employees in Thailand. One study was conducted in Bangkok and the other study in the province of Nakorn Sawan.
