Bioinformatics in China: A Personal Perspective.

In this article, the authors provide an overview of the developments of bioinformatics in China. They note that the expansion of bioinformatics was caused by Internet and genomic developments as well as advances in both computing infrastructure and experimental biology research. The authors also assert that such development was driven by bioinformatics scientists that consist of converts from other disciplines.
