Abstract

The article presents a study which analyzes the diversity of endophytic yeasts from sweet orange and their localization by sequencing of internal transcribed spacer (ITS) ribosomal ribonucleic acid (rRNA). The plant samples that exhibited different levels of citrus variegated chlorosis (CVC) development were taken from four different sites in São Paulo, Brazil. The three citrus yeasts (CEYs) selected include Rhodotorula mucilaginosa, Cryptococcus flavescens, and Pichia guilliermondii.
