Abstract

The article presents a study on the biological control of Lycoriella ingenua, Sciaridae in commercial mushroom cultivation. It mentions of the application of predatory mites Hypoaspis miles to commercial-growing beds during the spawning period that reduced sciarids in substrate growth and reduced the activity of adults towards the end of cropping through the application of the nematode Steinernema feltiae. Moreover, mites are effective for the control of sciarids in mushroom production.
