The article discusses excavations underway at the antique theater of Patara, Turkey, dating from the Hellenistic era, but remodeled in Roman times in the second century, during the reigns of Hadrian and Antonius Pius. Large sections of the nearly intact complex are described, including the auditorium and the stage building and decorated facade fragments.
