Abstract
- The article offers information on the welding methods to reduce the quantity of fume formed during gas shielded arc welding with a view to prevent hazards to health. It focuses on the mechanisms of fume generation during arc welding, the fume concentration in the welding operation environment, and the chemical compositions of the welding fume. It also focuses on an investigation into the effects of various factors such as wire composition upon the quantity of fume generated during welding.
