Abstract

The article examines the new ways introduced by Canada's newspaper publishers to generate higher revenue. The country's newspapers are opting for survival strategies such as piloting a luxury Mediterranean cruise and selling long-distance phone and Internet service. Canada's big daily papers such as Globe and The Toronto Star have adopted such strategies to generate higher revenue, which is lost to advertisements published online.
