Abstract

An editorial is presented that describes the life of German analytical chemist Rolf Neeb. Born on January 7, 1929 in Mainz, Germany, Neeb was the only child of Arthur Neen and Anna. He attended a grammar school in a town near Oppenheim. In 1948, he started studying chemistry at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz. After 1959, he had written a number of seminal papers about the development and application of stripping voltammetry. He died in Mainz on March 18, 2008.
