Examining the robustness of web co-link analysis.

The article presents a study which looks into the robustness and applicability of web co-link analysis for business intelligence of two different Chinese industries such as electronics and chemical. The study collects web co-link data from various search engines and uses multidimensional scaling (MDS) in mapping the co-link data. It discovers that webpages of the Chinese industries are very consumer-oriented. It also suggests that the co-link analysis method can be also applied to the non-business environment.
