Abstract

The article reports on the 100th anniversary of the devi, considered New Delhi, India's oldest Durga puja. In the past 100 years, devotees of the devi made offerings of gourmet bhog while tourists came to visit the shrine. Located at the center of Mughal Delhi and surrounded by rubble-built walls, labyrinthine lanes and arched gates, the devi has been worshipped ever since the Mughal era.
