Crises, Challenges and Response The Governance of the Refugee Problem in Africa: A Research Agenda.

A conference paper about the protection of refugees and asylum-seekers and the other aspects of the refugee situation in Africa is presented. The recurrent problems in the system of refugee protection and the efforts to reach appropriate solutions are identified. Also presented is an overview of the stipulations under the OAU Convention Governing the Specific Aspects of the Refugee Problem in Africa. The role of the national human rights institution in Africa in the promotion of refugee protection is also described.
