Paradoxes of constitutional borrowing.

An essay is presented on observations about the transplanting of constitutionalism. It offers a general idea of constitutionalism and specific institutions and provisions included in the constitution. The author relates the ideas from the Polish constitution making experience and attempts to use Polish and East European examples to discuss more general and universal questions related to constitutional borrowings.
