Abstract
- This paper explores the potential of the partnership model to minimize and transform the marginalization and disadvantage experienced by an Australian rural community suffering the effects of globalization. Torrens Valley Youth Programme is a successful example of how an innovative Community Partnership model in rural South Australia was accomplished with minimal funding. This case study examines the evolution of a partnership between a community centre and a non‐government organization that responded to the needs of local young people. The paper identifies potential barriers to successful partnership and demonstrates how these might be overcome. Our evaluation offers possibilities for developing partnerships in other countries experiencing similar issues. [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER]
