Abstract

The article discusses the introduction of the kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS) in Formula One (F1) cars in 2009 to save energy produced under breaking in a reservoir in order to release it under acceleration. The article also states the contribution of Alcon Component Limited in offering Optimized Structure Caliper Architecture (OSCA) in the development of breaking system to f1, while Brembo, brake system developer, has worked with several teams in the incorporation of KERS system.
