Matrix Metalloproteinase-2 and Matrix Metalloproteinase-9 Expression in Canine and Feline Meningioma.

The article presents a study that investigates the immunohistochemical expression of matrix metalloproteneise (MMP)-2 and MMP-9. Meningiomas obtained from dogs and cats were used to compare to the reverse transcriptase subunit of human-telomerase, progesterone receptor, proliferative index of tumors and cellular nuclear antigen. The study finds no significant correletion with between the MMP, niether its correlation with dogs and human. However, MMP-2 and MMP-9 was present in cats.
