Abstract
- The article reports that the U.S. Department of Justice (DoJ) has broadened the scope of the bribery prosecutions under the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA). It tackles the employment of Travel Act, the law which prohibits the use of foreign commerce to promote unlawful activities, as an adjunct for the enforcement of FCPA. David Anders, a partner in Watchtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, says that with the said expansion, it is important for companies to update their FCPA compliance policies.
