Abstract

The article presents a study on the effects of public health interventions on ambient air and industrial discharges in Cartagena, Spain. The study used an ecological time series design to assess the short-term intervention effect on air quality. It has proven that the observational system of intermittent control in Cartagena City can effectively reduce the impact of industrial emissions on ambient air quality. Moreover, it recommends public officials to take action to polluting industries.
