Abstract
- The article presents a study which probes on which biochemical markers in both the first and the second trimesters are the best predictors for fetal growth and small-for-gestational age (SGA). The study uses Chinese women with a singleton pregnancy in which markers including placental volume (PlaV) and uterine pulsatility index (UtA-PI) were examined. The study found that among the markers only the first-trimester PlaV and second-trimester PlaV plus UtA-PI are independent predictors for SGA.
