Abstract
- The article discusses a study on the possible presence of postcranial skeletal pneumatization (PSP) and air-sacs in the ancestor of pterosaurs in the Late Triassic and Jurassic era and ornithodirans. The study revealed the occurrence of evidence of the pattern of PSP in Dimorphodon macronyx which was first stated in the research by S. Sangster. Also explored are other research that showed the associations between air-sacs and axial pneumatization elements in extant birds.
