Abstract
- This article focuses on the acceptance of French culture in the comparative American studies. It states that though there has been a significant expansion in the field of American literature, the French speaking cultures in Québec, Francophone areas of Canada and the Caribbean remain marginalized. Contemporary francophone theorists are said to be actively participanting in comparative American Studies thus providing a welcome accent to the transcultural process.
