Abstract
- In this article, the author discusses the patient's perceptions of the surgical ward round. It contends that it is not necessarily a problem even medical and nursing staff may perceive the surgical ward round to be intimidating and interrupting for patients. It cites that other institutions may conduct their ward rounds in different fashions. It recommends that each unit conduct its own survey of patient perceptions to maximize patient education and care.
