Abstract

The article presents some facts related to colored vegetables and also offers information on whether adding these vegetables in diet are worth or not. According to Lona Sandon, assistant professor of clinical nutrition at University of Texas, in rare cases colored vegetables are often hybrids of the original plant and white asparagus is one such exception. As cited, some of these colored vegetables do contain high concentrations of antioxidants and vitamins than their counterparts.
