Abstract
- The article presents the political outlook for Pakistan for 2009-2010. It predicts that the political landscape will still be dominated in the short term by issues related to national security. The foreign policy of the U.S. towards Pakistan and Afghanistan includes both development assistance and military strikes on suspected militants, but it also seeks co-operation and accountability from Pakistan. It also notes the stronger ties between the governments of India and Pakistan.
