Abstract
- Presents a study which analyzed a Japanese nonunion transplant in the United States that has manufactured the same car component as its mother unionized plant in Japan since 1990, using the same transfer machine systems and identical production parts. Research on Japanese transplants in North America; Differences in the production line performance between the transplant and the mother plant; Performance of American production workers in the transplant and the mother plant.
