Abstract

Susan Hart makes some suggestions for revising the Code of Practice in order to place more emphasis upon developments in teaching and learning in the classroom. She describes the outcomes of partnership work between mainstream teachers and Section 11 teachers designed to support bilingual children whose learning is giving cause for concern.
