Abstract

Purpose - The purpose of this paper is to describe the information about the E-prints project in Librarianship and Information Science (E-LIS) experience. Design/methodology/approach - Descriptive method with informative scope. Findings - E-LIS had generated a new international view of the intellectual production in Library and Information Sciences (LIS) that include information professionals from emergent and developing countries. Practical implications - Contribute to understand the real dimension of the intellectual production in US. Originality/value - This paper is of special interest for US research.
