Abstract
- The article explores the historiographic perspective evident in the works of British historian and dramatist Thomas May. The author explores May's views about history and the past in the context of the study and writing of history during the English Revolution in the 17<superscript>th</superscript> century. He offers a brief biography of May and describes his political and intellectual activities. He also discusses the historiographic perspective he employs in his book "History of the Parliament of England" and comments on his role as a poet in the British court.
