Abstract
- The article focuses on the bias of medical literature on positive studies and the case of lamotrigine. It states that negative studies does not necessairily mean the drug is unimportant. The drug lamotrigine from GlaxoSmithKline has negative studies, but it was proven effective for bipolar disorders compared to gabapentin, which has positive studies. It suggests that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) should allow access of raw data.
