Abstract

The article presents a study that evaluates the effects of LKB1 tumor suppressor protein in cancer-prone Peutz-Jeghers patients when mutated. It mentions that mutation continue to be at a feverish pace following its exciting developments that can be linked to energy metabolism and the development of cancer. The result of the study shows that one role of LKB1 favors the regulation of cellular polarization of targets which include a variety of kinases.
