Abstract
- The article discusses the contemporary policy debates during the 10 years of Pro-Poor Tourism (PPT) in Great Britain. It states that the issue arises when observers reacted that the aim PPT which is to eliminate world poverty, was radical and more orthodox which reflects the neo-classical consensus that dominated economic and trade policy since the 1980s. The article also discusses the endorsement of poverty reduction, research concerning, the impacts of tourism on conservation, and the radicalism of the PPT approach.
