Abstract

The article presents a study on the evaluation of the diagnostic yield of endobronchial ultrasonography (EBUS)-guided transbronchial needle aspiration (TNBA) for peripheral pulmonary lesions (PPLs). It notes that two hundred two enrolled patients with PPLs and positive EBUS findings were randomly classified into groups to undergo conventional diagnostic procedures (CDPs) group. It stresses that the application of TBNA-guided CDPs increased the diagnostic yield of PPLs with no additional risk.
