Abstract

The article discusses the study which examines the medical outcome of patients who have pancreatic metastases in their renal cell carcinoma (RCC). The method used in the study is described, in which literature review is undertaken for surgically and non-surgically treated patients who have pancreatic RCC. The study showed that there was 72.6% overall survival rate for 5 years after pancreatic surgery for RCC, with extrapancreatic disease as independent risk factor for recurrence of the diseases.
