Abstract: Previous research on selection of source and medium has tailed to consider the dynamic, temporal aspects of information acquisition. In this paper a model that integrates the decision-making and communication literatures is developed. Media selection is viewed beyond an immediate incident to the range of media and sources used throughout the entire decision-making process.
