Monthly review: July 2009: The political scene.

The article provides a monthly review on the political condition in the Netherlands as of July 2009. The populist Freedom Party (PVV) headed by Geert Wilders had won the most number of seats during the European Parliament elections in June 2009. The Dutch election has also recorded the huge blow experienced by the Labour Party, whose seats dropped from seven to three. Furthermore, varied opinions on the Dutch election in relation to the European Union are accounted.
