Abstract
- A case study designed to examine the degree of congruence in management attitudes and socioeconomic background factors between executive superiors and executive subordinates, tested the hypothesis that the greater the correlation the greater the probability of promotion. Those subordinates being promoted did not necessarily share common background and attitudes with superiors but, perceptually, were significantly more aware of their superiors' views than were those not considered for promotion.
