Abstract

Studies the adsorption of the sulphur compound H[sub 2]S on clean and gold 'promoted' oxides of chromium. Chemisorbed layer produced by the decomposition of H[sub2]S on polycrystalline chromium; Rate of dissociation; Correlation between the size of the band gap in the oxide and its reactivity toward H[sub 2]S.
