Abstract

Investigators have questioned the utility of survey methodology for assessing organizational change. A theory of change types is examined and its operationalization clarified. Psychometric principles and a contrived data set are used to explore these issues. Evidence is presented to demonstrate that the theory's implications have been substantially overstated.
