REBUTTAL TO LARKINS' CRITIQUE.

Abstract: The article comments on A. Guy Larkins' criticism on the author's paper on alternative research orientations in social education. Larkin's critique has centered on terminology and language use. Larkin accuses the author of his unconventional use of the term science to refer to alternative research activities. It explains the difference of the standards of exactness of phenomenological and emancipatory inquiry orientations from the standards of exactness associated with the statistical procedures of empirical-analytic method.
