Presents the results of a Compton profile study of bonding in beryllium oxide (BeO). Physical properties of oxides of metals; Use of Compton scattering to determine the electronic structure of materials; Comparison of the measurement with the theoretical Hartree-Fock linear combinations of atomic orbitals (HF-LCAO) Compton profile and the renormalized-free atom (RFA) model.
