Abstract

The article discusses the relationship of stress to orofacial pathology. It investigates the effects of stress and how it leads to a certain disease. It identifies that stress varies from one patient to another. It also presents some specific disorders which could anteceded by stress. These disorders include herpes labialis, herpangina or aphthous pharyngitis, angio-neurotic edema, periodontal disease, schmutz pyorrhea. Moreover, the article also presents a case of 33-year-old woman who suffered from pemphigus vulgaris due to psychosomatic stress.
