Abstract
- The article presents information on graduated fixed penalties (GFP) system of Great Britain, which came into effect on April 1, 2009. Police and Vehicle & Operator Service Agency (VOSA) enforcement officers can issue GFP to drivers for a variety of offences including overloading and unroadworthy vehicles. Jim Fitzpatrick, Minister for the Department of Transport, said foreign drivers who break the law can not find any hiding place in Great Britain.
