Abstract: The article focuses on developments related to agreements of cooperation of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). Information on the Institution of Structural Engineers' (IStructE) Young Structural Engineer of the Year 2008 award is provided. The International Conference on Waste Engineering and Management (ICWEM) will be held in Hong Kong, China from May 28-30, 2008. The 10th International Symposium on Landslides and Engineered Slopes will be held in China from June 30-July 4, 2008.
