Coeliac disease and aplastic anaemia: a specific entity?

The article presents the clinical and biological characteristics of five patients diagnosed with aplastic anaemia (AA) and coeliac disease (CD) at a medical center. Two patients were diagnosed with CD before AA while in other three patients CD was diagnosed at the same time as AA. Severity of AA was graded in patients from nonsevere to very severe AA. All patients had normal bone marrow cytogenetics and two had paroxysmal nocturnal haemoglobinuria (PNH).
