Abstract
- The article presents a study which compared the respiratory symptoms and the lung function of working children in different occupational groups in Turkey. In the study, chronic cough, wheezing and shortness of breath of 642 respondents were evaluated using univariate and multivariate methods including pulmonary function tests. Researchers identified the smoking, age, gender and work characteristics of such children. Results revealed that the prevalence of respiratory symptoms was higher in the lathe, coiffure and electricity-construction groups.
