Abstract
- The article reports on the MyHouse project set by the Department of Mental Health in Washington, D.C. which is aimed at identifying the benefits of mediation for preventing homelessness among mental health clients. The effort is a response to the growing cases of discord between consumers and their landlords which threaten housing stability and eviction. The success of the project pushes the department to sign a contract with a dispute resolution firm for a broader conflict resolution.
