Abstract: The author comments on the 10th International Conference on Applications of Statistics and Probability in Civil Engineering (ICASP), held at the University of Tokyo from August 1 to 3, 2007 in Japan. He feels that the event was successful in showcasing current research on geotechnical reliability analysis and design code development. He mentions the creation of a special issue based on the works submitted in the conference. He commends the contributors and reviewers of the article published in the special issue.
