Abstract

This article discusses the efforts of Phillip Morris International Inc. (PMI) to grow its business following its spinoff from Altria Group Inc. The work of PMI chief executive Louis Camilleri to improve the public image of the company and ensure the growth of the company is explored. Debates about Camilleri's claims regarding ethics in cigarette marketing centering on the behavior of Philip Morris in Indonesia are considered.
