Abstract

The article discusses a study which investigated material testing and layering techniques of a new two-phase all-glass veneering porcelain for bonded porcelain and high-alumina frameworks. Among the problems with veneering porcelains are poor color stability, abrasiveness, and devitrification. Information is presented on the problems over the use of porcelains as well as the factors considered in testing abrasiveness and flexural strength. The article also describes a simplified porcelain building technique called the skeleton buildup technique.
