Diagnosis and laparoscopic management of adult intussusception.

The article presents a case study of a 27-year-old Filipino woman who complained of a three-day history of colicky right-sided abdominal pain. The use of computed tomography (CT) revealed that there is a large, right-sided ileo-colonic intussusception along her mid-transverse colon. She was prepared for laparoscopic surgery after knowing it was adult intussusception. Her case illustrated that rapid CT diagnosis followed by laparoscopic surgery is an effective care for cases of intussusception.
